The representative of Ikorod Constituency II and sponsor of the All Stars Unity Championship, Hon. (Dr.) Aro Moshood Abiodun, at the weekend inspired his Ijede All Stars team which he captained to another victory at the Ijede centre of the tournament.
It was the third week of the second edition of the football competition as actions were recorded across the four centres in Ijede, Igbogbo, Imota and Elepe.
In a statement by Media Director / Personal Assistant to Hon. (Dr.) Aro Moshood Abiodun, Razaq Kabiru Babatunde, the three weeks “lived up to expectations, delivering thrilling encounters across all four centres. From dramatic draws to decisive victories, the competition continues to showcase the passion, skill, and unity of communities under the banner of football.”

GROUP A – Ijede Centre
The day began with Gberigbe All Stars bouncing back in style, securing a solid victory over Explorer All Stars. Their sharp finishing and organised play ensured they left no room for error.
The highlight of the group was the pulsating clash between Ijede All Stars and Elepe All Stars. Under the inspirational captaincy of Hon. (Dr.) Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, Ijede displayed resilience and fighting spirit to edge out their opponents in a thrilling contest.
Hon. (Dr.) Aro Moshood Abiodun, who also serves as captain of Ijede All Stars, played his heart out to ensure his team’s qualification for the next stage. In the process, he sustained a minor injury, but his commitment and leadership on the pitch inspired his teammates to secure the crucial victory. The win lifted the spirits of the home crowd and reinforced Ijede’s reputation as a team built on leadership, discipline, and determination.

GROUP B – Imota Centre
Fans at the Imota Centre were treated to two hard-fought draws. The much-anticipated clash between Igbogbo All Stars and Oke Eletu All Stars ended in a stalemate, with both teams showing flashes of brilliance but unable to claim full points.
In the second fixture, Be Happy All Stars and Nwandi Namba Mowo also cancelled each other out in a goalless encounter. Despite near misses at both ends, the defences stood firm, leaving supporters longing for more goals.

GROUP C – Igbogbo Centre
It was an explosive outing at the Igbogbo Centre. Ofin Ile All Stars delighted their supporters with a commanding victory over Abule Eko All Stars, demonstrating superior teamwork and clinical finishing.
In the second match, Makbet All Stars once again proved their strength by outclassing Imota All Stars with a convincing win. Their momentum continues to build, making them one of the standout teams in the tournament so far.

GROUP D – Elepe Centre
Tension was high in Group D as Accord All Stars locked horns with Alabiamo All Stars. The game ended in a stalemate, with both sides cancelling each other out in a defensive battle.
The final game of the week saw Nwandi Namba All Stars Igbogbo edge past Tripple O All Stars with a narrow but decisive victory, keeping their hopes alive in the group.
